GCU Hyderabad Admission 2027 (Closed, Last Date 6 Oct), Test Dates

Government College University Hyderabad (GCUH) opened admissions for its 2027 session in BS, B.Ed, MS, MPhil, MBA and PhD programmes. Online applications closed on 6 October 2026, and the pre-entry test is scheduled for 22 to 25 October 2026.

Students who passed HSC-II in 2024, 2025 or 2026 could apply for the undergraduate programmes. Students still waiting for their HSC-II result could apply for provisional admission.

Programmes offered

GCUH offered four-year BS degrees in these subjects:

  • Computing: Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology
  • Sciences: Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Zoology
  • Business and social sciences: Business Administration, Economics, Political Science
  • Languages and humanities: English, Islamic Studies, Sindhi, Urdu

A four-year B.Ed programme for future teachers was also offered.

At postgraduate level, the university admitted students to MS, MPhil, MBA and PhD programmes in subjects including Mathematics, Chemistry, Information Technology, Education, Islamic Studies, English (Linguistics) and Zoology. Eligibility and merit criteria

  • For BS and B.Ed, applicants needed HSC-II (intermediate) passed in 2024, 2025 or 2026 with at least 50% aggregate marks.
  • Students waiting for their HSC-II result could apply on a provisional basis. They will need to show their result later to confirm their seat.
  • All applicants must appear in the GCUH pre-entry test from 22 to 25 October 2026. The test result will count towards the merit list.

The university has not published separate seat counts for each programme in the reports we checked. The exact merit formula and any subject-wise requirements will be on the admission portal.

How applications were submitted

  1. Applicants created an account on the GCUH online admission portal at adm.gcuh.edu.pk.
  2. They filled in personal and academic details, matching their CNIC or B-Form and marks sheets.
  3. They chose programmes in order of preference.
  4. They generated the fee challan and paid the processing fee (Rs3,000 for undergraduate, Rs4,000 for postgraduate).
  5. They submitted the form before the 6 October deadline.
  6. Applicants who submitted in time should download their admit card for the pre-entry test when it is issued on the portal.
