Who can apply
According to the CUI Lahore announcement, you can apply if all of these are true:
- You are a BS or undergraduate student at the Lahore Campus, from any batch.
- You were admitted on open merit.
- You are enrolled in the Fall 2026 semester.
- Your family income is below the poverty threshold.

Benefits of the HEC need based scholarship
The scheme helps deserving students who are struggling to pay for their degree. As reported by ProPakistani and TechJuice, selected students get support towards their university fee and a monthly stipend of Rs6,000 for the normal length of the degree, as long as they stay eligible. The money is paid through the university, not directly by HEC, and the number of awards depends on the funds given to the campus.
How to apply for the COMSATS Lahore scholarship
- Open the soft data entry form linked on the official CUI Lahore scholarship page and fill in your details.
- Get the hard copy form from the photocopy shop at CUI Lahore Campus.
- Fill the hard form carefully and attach all documents from the list below.
- Submit the form at the SSC / SFAO office on or before 15 October 2026.
Doing only the online form is not enough. Your application counts only when the hard form and documents reach the office.

- CNIC of the applicant and of the parents or guardian
- Domicile certificate

- Details of any scholarship you received before
- A statement of purpose
Common mistakes to avoid
- Leaving out a utility bill or the Form B. Missing papers can delay or block your case.
- Waiting for the last day. The office closes at the end of working hours, so submit early.
- Giving income figures that do not match your salary slip or affidavit. Need-based cases are checked by the university’s scholarship committee.
