The BEEF PhD scholarship 2027 is the Balochistan government’s fully funded programme for students of the province who want to do a PhD at one of the world’s top 100 QS-ranked universities. Up to 10 new scholars are selected each year. Forms will be accepted from 1 February to 30 April 2027, so this is the time to secure your admission offer.
The Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF) has published the advertisement for the Fall 2027 session under the Chief Minister Merit Scholarships for Leading PhD Programs (CMSPP), and Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced the programme on 4 October 2026.

Who can apply for the Balochistan PhD scholarship abroad
The advertisement sets these conditions:
- You must be a resident of Balochistan with local and domicile of the province, and a permanent and present address in Balochistan on your CNIC.
- At least 60% marks or a 3.0 CGPA in your MS/MPhil.
- Maximum age of 40 years on the closing date of the advertisement.
- An unconditional or valid PhD offer letter for the Fall 2027 session from a top 100 QS-ranked university. Meeting the university’s admission, language test and visa requirements is your own responsibility.
- You must not have availed any foreign PhD scholarship before, from a national, provincial or donor programme.
- Permanent or regular faculty of public sector institutions and public servants are not eligible. Contractual employees can apply, subject to resigning from the job.
- At least 50% marks in the aptitude test, two references, and no criminal record.
Benefits of the CMSPP scholarship
The scholarship is fully funded. It covers tuition fees, living allowance, health insurance, airfare and visa processing fees. BEEF says each of these has a fixed upper ceiling, so check the exact limits in the advertisement before you plan your budget.

How to apply for the BEEF PhD scholarship 2027
- Get an unconditional PhD offer for Fall 2027 from a university in the QS world top 100. BEEF has posted the list of these universities and the eligible subject areas on its website.
- Download the application form and guidelines from the official page: beef.org.pk/cmspp.
- Prepare the documents listed below.
- Submit the completed form in person at the BEEF office in Quetta between 1 February and 30 April 2027.
- Appear in the aptitude test and interview when BEEF calls you.
